BTS, BLACKPINK, and Seventeen all won more than one awards at VMAs

For those who don’t know, the awards show was held at the Prudential Center in New Jersey on August 28, 2022.

BLACKPINK showed up on the red carpet and performed their new single, “Pink Venom,” for the crowd.

The girl group was also praised for their collaboration, “Ready for Love,” which won “Best Metaverse Performance,” and member Lisa’s solo, “LALISA,” won “Best K-pop.”

She thanked producer Teddy, YG Entertainment, and BLINKS during her acceptance speech.

Seventeen took their first-ever award at the VMAs for the ‘Push performance of the Year’ for Rock With You.

During their acceptance speech, Seventeen’s Vernon shared that “it was a huge honour to be present as the first K-pop artist for the MTV award show, and felt even greater to receive the push performance award.”

Mingyu chimed in as well and added, “Thankyou VMAs and thankyou BLINKS for all your love and support”.

BTS won the “Group of the Year” award at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) for the fourth year in a row, this time in 2022.

The group was up for “Best K-Pop,” “Best Choreography,” “Best Visual Effects,” and “Best Metaverse Performance.”

  • Dino will not take part in any upcoming activities or promotional events for the group’s current world tour Face the Sun.
  • Following this, the idol has had a little sore throat and is currently quarantining himself as a precautionary measure.

Following this, the idol has had a little sore throat and is currently quarantining himself as a precautionary measure.

The actress will not be able to attend the ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ show filmings in Los Angeles and Houston, which are slated for August 17 and 20, respectively.

For those who are unaware, all members of the group were invited to appear on the late-night American show Jimmy Kimmel Live on August 18, 2022.

K-pop group Seventeen’s rocking performance in Seoul goes viral

The Be The Sun globe tour by the K-pop group SEVENTEEN began with a two-night performance in Seoul, South Korea. After two years and four months, SEVENTEEN performed live for the first time at this event. Over 35000 fans were in attendance, and the band was able to entertain them with electrifying performances while also interacting with fans across the world via livestream. The band declared that SECTOR 17, their repackaged album, would be released on July 18, 2022 at the conclusion of Day 2.

The 13-member ensemble performed 24 songs, beginning with “HOT,” “March,” and “HIT.” With performances by the three units—Hip Hop, Vocal, and Performance—the members even captivated the audience. “MOONWALKER,” “Imperfect love,” and “Back it up” were among the unit’s songs. Songs like “Left & Right,” “Crush,” and “Darl+ing” highlight the band’s range. The K-pop powerhouse performed “Snap Shoot” and “Very Nice” as part of their legendary hour-long encore as the show’s climax. Along with fans, other performers during the performance included Astro’s Cha Eun-woo and BTS member Jungkook.

In addition, SEVENTEEN gave greetings to their followers. Producer and vocal unit leader for the group, WOOZI said, “We woke up with every part of our body aching after the first day. So today, we danced even harder. You are the source of all our energy.”

HOSHI said, “We run at full throttle for this set. We wanted to show everyone what a ‘performance’ is.”
