Armoured surgeons save ‘human bomb’ Russian soldier

Armoured surgeons

Armoured doctors prepared to extract a live grenade from the body of a Russian soldier who had become a “human bomb.”

Junior Sergeant Nikolay Pasenko, 41, was wounded by an unexploded Ukrainian ordnance from an automatic grenade launcher, which embedded itself beneath his heart.

The dangerous bomb had shown up on X-rays, shattering his ribs, destroying a lung, and stuck straight into a location near the soldier’s spine, and Pasenko was originally “against” having it removed.

Despite his pleas that the medics should not put their lives in danger, they dressed and attempted to remove the explosives.

Pasenko stated of the surgery: “I was against it. I did not want the doctors to suffer as the munitions could have exploded .”

However, crazed doctors dressed in armour and a military physician, Lieutenant Colonel Dmitry Kim, dismissed the soldier’s pleadings and declared that they would “blow up together.”

If medical personnel had not acted with the “extremely high” risk of explosion stuck under his heart, fatal bleeding would have killed the Russian soldier.

Following a successful operation, Pasenko praised the medics as “real heroes” for saving his life.

Lt-Col Kim stated about the operation, “We were warned there was a risk of ammunition detonation, but no one refused. The ammunition was located between the aorta and the inferior vena cava .”

“It’s not every day that you take an [explosive] out of a person, and in a place where moving to the right or left can lead to the death of the patient.”

“When the ammunition ended up in a bucket of sand, everyone exhaled, smiled and laughed.”

The second team of surgeons was on standby in case the bomb detonated during the “unique operation.”

Kim, who had no idea “if the ammunition had detonated or not,” was able to effectively remove the bomb with the help of his team of surgeons, who were in danger at all times during the operation.

Pasenko was relieved, to say the least, recalling the attack that had left him with an explosive trapped beneath his heart.

The resurrected human bomb stated, “We were tasked to take a forest belt with Ukrainian positions. We took it, in a fierce battle. I did not understand what happened. There was a blow to the edge of the armour and that was it. I did not lose consciousness – I just continued to move .”

Following that, his fellow soldiers “jumped up and bandaged me,” which is how the soldier survived, along with a successful operation.

“My thanks to surgeon Dmitry Kim and I will be grateful to him for the rest of my life,” he concluded.

Russian soldier ignites nightclub fire killing 15 people

At least 15 people were killed in a tragic nightclub fire at a prominent Russian establishment.

An inferno raged through Kostroma’s Polygon club, causing a ceiling to collapse “after a military serviceman fired a flare gun into the ceiling from the dance floor.”

Another 60 partygoers are believed to have suffered horrific burns and other injuries as more than 250 people were evacuated from the nightclub hell.

Police seized a married man named Stanislav Ionkin, 23, on suspicion of starting the fire with a flare gun, which hunters use.

The soldier was afterwards questioned about the fire.

The reason for the event was unknown, although other reports indicated a disagreement that escalated into a “mass brawl.”

Andrei Kuzmin, a hero, rescued scores of lives by kicking down a door, allowing clubgoers to flee, although the death toll was apparently higher due to four fire doors being locked shut.

To rescue victims, firefighters had to utilise specialised cutting equipment.

Andrei told, “When the fight started they switched on the lights, there was a pop and there was instant smoke.

“It was instantaneous. There was a clap, there was smoke, panic, smoke.”

He added, “The only thing I said was ‘calm down’. Then I went to kick down the door. I kicked the door open and people went out.

“There were a lot of people in the place because it was very popular.”

“I can’t say for sure, but at a rough guess there were about 300 people, because everything was packed, both the bar and the dance floor, and the tables were all taken.”

He continued, “[After the fire started] I wasn’t thinking about anything. I was thinking about how I was going to get out of here, that’s what I was thinking about.”

“I took it [the door] out and the crowd rushed through. If I hadn’t taken it out, it would have been terrible.”

A video shows the dead bodies outside the club.
