Robert Redford is an actor-director, producer, and activist from the United States. He has won numerous awards, including an Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role, a British Academy Film Award, two Golden Globe Awards, the Cecil B. DeMille Award, and the Presidential Medal of Freedom, for which he received four nominations.
According to newly discovered reports, Robert Redford endured “immense anguish” and heartbreak after two of his four children died.
The 85-year-old is acting royalty, having played in critically acclaimed and box office classics such as ‘Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid’ in the 1960s and ‘The Sting’ four years later. He also earned a Best Director Oscar for his work on ‘Ordinary People,’ which was one of the most critically and widely praised films of the 1980s, and a Lifetime Achievement Oscar two decades later. While Redford is one of the most well-known performers of the Hollywood Renaissance era and the founder of the celebrated Sundance Film Festival, he has faced long-term heartbreak away from the spotlight.
