Hafizabad: Prime Minister to lay foundation stone for university, hospital

Prime Minister Imran Khan to visit Hafizabad on Saturday (today) to lay foundation stone for a hospital and university.

In a tweet, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Punjab on Information Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan said that the premier will also address a large gathering after his arrival at Hafizabad.

She said the university will be constructed at a cost of four point five billion rupees while the new 400-bed facility District Headquarters Hospital building will cost two billion rupees.

On Friday, Prime Minister Imran Khan has launched the Sehat Card Plus program for the entire population of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) during his visit to Swat.

Addressing the launching ceremony, the premier said that a prime minister of the country is a father figure for a country.

“A prime minister is like a father for his people. And a father educates his children,” said PM Imran.

The PM lauded the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government for giving him a warm welcome upon his visit.

He said that KP Chief Minister Mahmood Khan has taken him on a visit to Gabin Jabba.

Swat: PM Imran launches Sehat Card Plus program for the people of KP

Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has on Friday launched the Sehat Card Plus program for the entire population of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) during his visit to Swat.

Addressing the public gathering at Grassy Ground, PM Imran said that a prime minister of the country is a father figure for a country.

“A prime minister is like a father for his people. And a father educates his children,” said PM Imran.

The PM lauded the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government for giving him a warm welcome upon his visit.

He said that KP Chief Minister Mahmood Khan has taken him on a visit to Gabin Jabba.

Furthermore, the prime minister repeated that his government envisions a Pakistan based on the principles of the state of Madina.

The premier said that the decision taken by the KP government to provide health cards stems from the first principle. He added that with every family having Rs1 million as a health cover, there will no longer be budgetary concerns.

“There will be surety in a household that if someone falls sick he will have a health card and can get treatment in any hospital, be it government or private,” said the prime minister.

PM Imran inaugurates Hassan Abdal Railway Station with major facilities

Prime Minister Imran Khan has on Friday arrived Attock to to inaugurate the Hassan Abdal Railway Station, constructed at a cost of Rs300 million.

Addressing the inauguration ceremony, the Prime Minister said, “Railways are important because it’s a commute for the poor and common people of Pakistan.”

He also said the role of railways in the Naya Pakistan journey was crucial. Trains are a cheap and comfortable method to travel throughout the world

Referring to the Karachi-Peshawar Railway Line, PM Imran said, “For the first time, the biggest investment to Pakistan Railways is coming through the ML1” or the Main Line.

Facilities at Hassan Abdal Railway Station

Furthermore, briefing more about the newly-inaugurated railway station, Minister for Railways Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed said guest houses for Sikh pilgrims have also been constructed at Hassan Abdal railway station.

A canteen and a cafe were set up near the waiting area, he added.

The Nankana Sahib railway station project will also be completed this month, said Rasheed.

Earlier in a day, Sheikh Rasheed reviewed arrangements ahead of the premier’s visit to inaugurate the Hassan Abdal Railway Station.

The station has been renovated and reconstructed after 127 years.

Moreover, the Hassan Abdal railway station has been constructed for 300 million rupees. It consists of the grand and first floors.

Clean and cold water plants have been installed for the convenience of the passengers. Apart from this, a canteen has also been constructed along with the waiting area.

PM Imran’s visit to Swat

The Premier will also visit Swat where he will inaugurate a new block of Saidu Sharif hospital.

On the other hand, he will also attend a ceremony in connection with the distribution of Sehat Sahulat Cards and address the gathering there.

Prime Minister Imran Khan will inaugurate the Hassan Abdal Railway Station on Friday, November 06.

According to the details, Hassan Abdal railway station has been constructed at a cost of 300 million rupee. It consists the grand and the first floors.

Clean and cold water plants have been installed for the convenience of the passengers. Apart from this, a canteen has also been constructed along with the waiting area.

A new tubewell has also been installed to meet the water requirement of Hassan Abdal railway station as well as installation of 300 KV generator for uninterrupted power supply.

Earlier on November 03, Prime Minister Imran Khan unveiled major relief package of the electricity tariff for small and medium industries to encourage higher power consumption and manufacturing.

The prime minister said that starting November 1, the additional electricity used by SMEs up to June 30, 2021, will be sold at 50% lower the cost.

“So whatever amount of electricity they use in addition to what they used last November, it will cost [half] of what it did previously,” he explained.

“Our exports in 2018 started deceasing as soon as we assumed charge. But we did not immediately try to increase them because our growth rate is based on exports,” the premier said.

Speaking about further lockdown crisis, the premier said that after the lockdown period, record-high cement sales have been recorded.
