Tourism in Pakistan will bring economic benefits to local population: PM Imran

Prime Minister Imran Khan has on Sunday (today) said that there are three types of tourism in Pakistan while the ancient places in Pakistan are also very important in terms of tourism in which places like Mohenjo Daro and Harappa are of world interest.

PM Imran, while briefing media in Jhelum, said that Nandana Fort was the largest university of its time. In Nandana Fort, Muslim scientist Al-Beruni had conducted many experiments and it is a place where tourists from all over the world would come.

It has been decided to develop Nandana Fort as a model village. Soon this small area will be on the world map, the premier added.

Referring the tourist spots, PM Imran added that we have to protect these sites for our coming generations as well as to attract tourists across the globe for the provision of employment and earning revenue. He said salt range of Pakistan is still unexplored.

Under the Prime Minister’s vision, places are being identified across the country to highlight Pakistan’s history and national heritage. The promotion of tourism will also bring economic benefits to the local population.

The Prime Minister went on to add that there are beautiful areas in the country which are not even known to the tourists and their people. There is also a Mughal civilization in Pakistan including Peshawar and Lahore but unfortunately the governments of the past have not been able to develop them properly.
