Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani on Wednesday visited various schools in Korangi to review implementation on the standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Saeed Ghani during his visit to the schools inquired about the arrangements made there to contain coronavirus outbreak.

On the occasion, the provincial education minister asked questions from the students of the schools about the SOPs designed in the wake of coronavirus pandemic.

Later, in his interaction with media officials, Saeed Ghani expressed his satisfaction over the arrangements made by the private schools and urged the administration to ensure that no student or teacher enters the school without the mask.

Schools and colleges across Pakistan reopened, yesterday, ending a nearly six-month-long closure due to coronavirus pandemic.

The Sindh Textbook Board (STBB) had failed in printing and distributing textbooks to government schools across the province.

The books are distributed to the children studying in government schools by the STBB before the commencement of the new academic year, but the authorities have failed this year.

According to sources, private publishers have cut down the printing of government textbooks by 40% due to non-payment of money.

Meanwhile, the books printed by STBB had also not been distributed among the children.

Pakistan reopen Schools and Universities today after 6 month closure

Thousands of schools and colleges across Pakistan reopened Tuesday (Today), ending a six-month-long closure due to the novel coronavirus pandemic.

According to the details,  as per the directives of the Pakistani Education Ministry, all higher education institutions in the country reopen from September 15, whereas students in grades nine to 12 will also be returning to school on the same day.

Colleges and universities reopening in phases while ensuring compliance with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to avoid the spread of novel coronavirus disease in accordance with the decision of the inter-provincial education ministers’ conference (IPEMC).

Secondary and primary classes will resume later this month.
