Prime Minister called on UNDP delegation in Islamabad

PM meets UNDP delegation

Prime Minister Imran Khan has on Thursday said Pakistan is committed to using digital technologies to achieve Sustainable Development Goals.

While talking to a delegation of the UN Development Program (UNDP) dealing with Digital Governance in Islamabad, the premier said these programs will help the vulnerable segments of the society to get the maximum benefit from the social welfare.

It will also protect the policies of the government at the grassroots level.

The Prime Minister appreciated the UNDP’s partnership in the development of a digital transformation roadmap for the country.

Earlier in a day, PM Imran has stressed for promoting small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to improve the economic indicators which are already on a positive trajectory.

He chiared a meeting of the National Coordination Committee (NCC) on Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).

The Prime Minister directed to achieve at the earliest the targets set for the promotion of SMEs.

Moreover, PM Imran Khan said the SMEs are an important component of the economy and their promotion will strengthen the economy and create job opportunities.

The meeting was informed that the database of the SMEs is being updated on a priority basis in order to extend timely facilities to them. The tax form of the SMEs is being simplified for them.
