LAHORE: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Anti-Corruption Circle has started an inquiry on the alleged over-billing of protected customers by the Lahore Electric Supply Company(LESCO).
According to the sources, consumers who consume less than 200 units of electricity have been allegedly overbilled. Due to overbilling, the category of these protected customers has changed and they have to bear the additional burden of millions of rupees.
The FIA Anti-Corruption Circle has started an inquiry into the alleged overbilling of protected customers.
According to the FIA spokesperson, notices have been issued to Director Customer Services LESCO and Director General IT, in which billing data and other details have also been sought from LESCO officers.
