According to police, a 43-year-old lady was fighting for her life in Harlem after an attacker hit her in the back of the head, dragged her between two parked automobiles, and attempted to rape her while violently assaulting her.

According to police, a video released by the NYPD shows the man donning latex gloves moments before the incident on West 123rd Street between Lenox Avenue and Adam Clayton Powell Boulevard around 11:30 p.m. Friday.

“He was walking right behind her when you see him putting the gloves on in the video,” a police source said. “He pounced on her right after that.”

According to the source, the attacker repeatedly kicked the victim in the head and torso, even “curb stomping” her, before escaping without finishing the rape.

A 43-year-old woman was fighting for her life after being hit in the back of the head by an assailant. The victim suffered significant head trauma and was transferred in critical condition to NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem. According to police, the crime is being investigated as an attempted murder.
