Microplastics discovered in fresh Antarctic snow
Scientists have discovered for the first time microplastics in fresh Antarctic snow in Antarctica. Researchers at the University of Canterbury, New Zealand, collected samples from 19 regions of Antarctica, each containing a small piece of plastic.
