The legendary Shahid Afridi has been appointed as the captain of Galle Gladiators in Lanka Premier League (LPL) 2020, replacing Sarfaraz Ahmed.
According to a press statement on Saturday, Galle Gladiators has named Shahid Afridi as the captain which will be played from November 26 to December 16 in Hambantota, Sri Lanka.

The T20 star will be assisted by local player Bhanuka Rajapaksa as the Vice-Captain in the tournament.
The former Pakistani skipper has sidelined Sarfaraz Ahmed. He withdrew from the LPL tournament to fulfill his national duty in series against New Zealand.
Nadeem Omar, Galle Gladiators’ owner, was happy after Afridi”s appointment as the new captain.
