The Pakistani pop-rock band Jal is set to make a highly anticipated return to Bangladesh after 14 years, as confirmed by Goher Mumtaz on Instagram. The announcement has generated significant excitement among fans, though it has also sparked disappointment due to Farhan Saeed’s absence from the performance.

Goher Mumtaz shared the news on his Instagram, stating, “The album that never left our hearts is back with a bang. Catch the remastered tracks of your favorite #Aadat and a brand new track ‘Sun Sarkar’.” He also promoted the release of the remastered Aadat album, saying, “#Aadat remastered album out now on all streaming platforms.”

Fans were initially thrilled about the band’s reunion, but the excitement was tempered by the news that Farhan Saeed would not be performing. Saeed addressed his followers on Instagram Stories, clarifying, “I won’t be performing with the band this time but when I come to Bangladesh, I will update my fans accordingly.”

Jal, known for its hit tracks and influential pop-rock sound, originally included Goher Mumtaz, Atif Aslam, and Farhan Saeed. The lineup later expanded to include Shazi, Omer Nadeem, and Salman Albert.

Taking to social networking platform ‘X,’ Pakistani singer-actor Farhan Saeed criticized cricket supporters for failing to support the Green Shirts through difficult times, particularly when they performed below expectations.

He penned on X, “Pakistan cricket fans are the most disloyal fans ever, if the team wins you take the full credit and if they lose, aise haath jhartey hein jaise koi lena dena na ho. At least back your team till the tournament is going on, at least.”

previously, in the twelfth World Cup ODI between archrivals India and Pakistan, the Green Shirts collapsed completely, prompting widespread condemnation from cricket analysts.

The Pakistan cricket team fell for 192 runs in 42.5 overs against India, marking India’s eighth straight World Cup victory over Pakistan, dating back to 1992.

Goher shared the picture and wrote: “Missing persons? @farhan_saeed.” The caption makes one think if they are planning on a Jal reunion. The duo has not revealed any further details.

Even though they don’t have any plans for a reunion, they still need to work together because the Jal fans are eagerly anticipating one.

Many of them commented on the picture asking for a reunion or a collab. One of the fans commented: “Pleaseeeeeeeee bring back that full throttle Jal. The world was a better place when you guys were together.” Meanwhile, another fan wrote: “A reunion is desperately needed.”

Another wrote: “Please say ‘something is coming up’. On the other hand, one fan wrote: “Bring Jal back.”

It appears that the Jal fan base hasn’t diminished despite the passage of so many years.

With this reunion photo, Munib Nawaz, a fashion designer, expressed excitement as well, writing: “Best thing on the internet today my boysss!!”

Jal was a pop group that was established in 2002, with Goher Mumtaz serving as the group’s primary guitarist and Farhan Saeed and Atif Aslam serving as its primary vocalists. The group is responsible for numerous well-known songs, including Aadat, Sajni, Dil Haray Pukaray, Woh Lamhe, and many others.
