Shah Mahmood Qureshi lauds PM for exposing Indian brutalities in IoK

Pakistan

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has lauded Prime Minister Imran Khan for exposing Indian brutalities in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IoK).

In a statement regarding Prime Minister’s virtual address to the UN General Assembly, Shah Mahmood Qureshi said Imran Khan apprised the international community about unilateral actions by India in Jammu and Kashmir communication blackout, use of pellet guns against innocent civilians, the imposition of black laws, attempts to change the demography of the area by amending the domicile rules, grave human rights abuses and violation of international laws and Geneva Conventions in IIOJK.

He said the premier had made it clear that New Delhi is playing with peace of the region due to its adversarial polices.

Yesterday, Prime Minister Imran Khan addressed the 75th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) session virtually.

He highlighted the Kashmir Issue once again on the international platform. The premier also discussed how Pakistan has dealt with the coronavirus pandemic.

“Peace is needed to give rights to citizens, We opted for the smart lockdown to save our people from COVID, Government policies aim to increase living standards of citizens, A new arms race is underway between the new opposition forces,” said the PM.

Warning for India:

While addressing the UNGA session, PM Khan warned India against carrying out any misadventure, he said,

“It will be met by a nation that is ready to fight till the end for its freedom.”

He went on to say that India follows the extremist ideology that believes India is only for Hindus and people from other religions are not equal citizens.

“While the Nazis’ hate was directed at the Jews, the RSS directs it at the Muslims, and to a lesser extent, the Christians.”

“The secularism of Gandhi and Nehru has been replaced by the dream of creating a Hindu Rashtra, by subjugating, even cleansing India’s 200 million Muslims and other minorities,” he added.

PM Imran spoke about the RSS’s attempt to destroy the Babri Masjid and the killing of 2,000 Muslims in the Gujarat riots.

“And this was [Gujarat massacre] under the watch of chief minister Modi,” he said.
