The Honor Pad 8 is an officially announced new midrange tablet for the Chinese market. This device is the successor to the Honor Pad 7 that was introduced in March of this year.
The current edition features a 12″ IPS LCD display that provides ample space for both work and pleasure. It supports a screen resolution of 2,000 by 1,200 pixels and has a maximum brightness of 350 nits.
The Honor Pad 8 features a 5-megapixel rear camera, while a 5-megapixel front-facing camera is in the upper bezel for selfies and video chats (when the slate is held horizontally).
The Honor Pad 8 is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 680 CPU paired with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB of expandable storage via microSD card. In addition, it has a total of eight speakers supported by Honor’s Histen audio technology.
The tablet has a respectable 7,250mAh battery with 22.5W fast-charging capabilities to keep the lights on. Regarding software, it will launch with the most recent Magic UI 6.1.
