Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, who is currently in Tajikistan, has on Wednesday (today) visited the monument of the founder of the Tajik Empire Ismoil Somoni.
The Foreign minister laid a floral wreath at the memorial to pay tribute to Ismoil Somoni.
Pakistani Ambassador to Tajikistan Imran Haider, Foreign Secretary Sohail Mehmood and senior officials were also present.
Taking to Twitter, FM Qureshi shared his experience as he had the privilege of paying homage to the Monument of Ismoil Somoni.
He wrote, “Privileged to end my visit to Tajikistan by paying homage to the Monument of Ismoil Somoni, Founder of the great Tajik nation. Thank you to the Government and people of Tajikistan for a great trip.”
