Former showbiz actress Noor Bukhari has expressed her ire over the fact that accused Zahir Jaffer has not been convicted in the Noor Mukadam murder case.
Noor Bukhari took to her Instagram to express her dissatisfaction at the lack of action against Zahir Jaffer after his confession in Noor Mukadam murder case.
“Shame Shame Shame on our system. This guy is taunting everyone by admitting everything but still not getting punishment,” she wrote on her Insta story.
The remarks of Bukhari came after Jaffer’s confession that he had committed the crime and said “I did it” repeatedly, adding that the firearm used belonged to his father, Zakir Jaffer.
The prime accused then made an unusual claim and stated that Noor had “presented herself for sacrifice and it is permissible in Islam”.
He also pleaded before the judge to change his sentence to house arrest as he “cannot go back to prison” as he “gets beaten up in jail”.
Zahir Jaffer then got on his knees and apologized to the court. “I do not want to die behind bars. I should be married; I should have kids”.
“Noor and I had fought. It was my fault, but she was also angry,” he claimed.
Zahir also attempted to speak to Noor’s father, alleging that he and Noor were in love and had been in a relationship for three years.
“My life is in your hands, you can save me,” he said to the victim’s father, adding that he did not mind if Shaukat wanted to take his life.
The 27-year-old Noor Mukadam was murdered in the federal capital on July 20, in the city’s F-7 area, according to police.
She is the daughter of Shaukat Mukadam, who served as Pakistan’s ambassador to South Korea and Kazakhstan.
The Islamabad police arrested Zahir on the night of July 20th from his house where he killed her with a sharp instrument and beheaded her.
The gruesome incident also sparked nationwide outrage and campaign seeking justice for her, with #JusticeforNoor had become a top trend on Twitter.
