Summer Vacations Extended for Schools in Punjab

ISLAMABAD:  The Federal Ministry of Education has announced summer vacations in federal government educational institutions.

Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) has issued a summer vacation notification under which federal educational institutions will remain closed from June 10 to July 31.

The notification states that the educational institutions will reopen on August 1 after the summer vacation.

“The competent authority i.e, the Secretary Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training is pleased to announce that summer vacations for all the educational institutions working under the ambit of Federal Directorate of Education shall commence from 10-06-2024 till 31-07-2024 and schools/colleges will reopen on 01-08-2024,” the notification stated.

Earlier, Sindh Education Department also announced summer holidays in all private and public sector schools, colleges.

According to the notification issued here, summer holidays in all public and private institutions in Sindh will be observed from June 1 to July 31.

The Punjab government announced early summer holidays for all public and private schools due to the prevailing heatwave.

According to a notification, all government and private schools in Punjab will be closed from May 25 till August 15.

FDE announces winter vacations for educational institutions

ISLAMABAD: The federal government has announced the winter vacations for educational institutes operating under the federal administration.

According to the announcement issued by the Federal Directorate of Education(FDE), there will be winter vacations from December 25 to 29 in federal educational institutions.

The Federal Directorate of Education said that federal educational institutions will open on Monday, January 2024 after Friday, December 22, 2023.

Earlier, Sindh and Punjab governments also announced the winter vacation schedule for the year.

The Sindh schools will have the vacations from December 22 to 31.

After the winter break, the educational institutions will reopen on Monday (January 1, 2024).

Meanwhile, In Punjab the winter break for school children will commence from December 18, 2023, and continue till January 1, 2024.
