Javed Akhtar and the Indian media are praising themselves for “dushman kay ghar mein ja kar usko marna” in response to his statements becoming viral that blamed Pakistan for failing to take decisive action against the terrorists behind the 26/11 Mumbai attacks. Javed also stated that “We [India] have organised concerts for persons like Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and Mehdi Hassan, but your country has not held a concert for Lata,” in reference to Pakistan’s lack of appreciation for Indian singers.

In response to his anti-Pakistani remarks, many Pakistani stars have called out Javed Akhtar. One such Pakistani star is Faisal Quraishi. Faisal shared a video on social media where he claimed the following!

Yesterday, the entire Pakistani nation was shocked to learn of the death of legendary literature maestro Zia Mohyeddin. Following the death of great writer and poet Amjad Islam Amjad on Friday, February 10, Zia’s death has marked the ‘end of an era’. The heartbreaking news jolted the entire country. Many celebrities from the entertainment industry came forward to mourn the veteran’s passing.

Adnan Siddiqui, an actor, expressed his condolences on Twitter. He stated:

However, social activist Muniba Mazari lamented his loss as well, referring to his passing as the “End of an Era.”

“My love story is very simple; there is no complexity in it; I saw Sana at a friend’s wedding, and I tried a lot to talk to her because I was single at the time and I wanted to get settled in my life,” he explained. In start, she didn’t even talk to me, after a lot of tries, I managed to send her email, she didn’t even check email for two years, I did another email and I said to her, ‘I want to marry you’ and she said, ‘talk to my father’. I talked to her father and then I said to him that I want to settle down and I think Sana is a good choice”.

Faisal Quraishi is the most recognizable names in Pakistan’s film and drama industries. Along the way, he has produced and directed a great number of well-known dramas. Fitoor, Farq, Bashar Momin, etc., are a few well-known names. The 49-year-old television personality frequently criticizes Pakistani shows for their acting, context, and subject. He recently made fun of Pakistani dramas again while participating in the talk show on YouTube with Hassan Choudary.

Faisal Quraishi began by discussing his most recent miniseries, Ek Thi Laila. Then he discussed how marriage is the only subject covered in Pakistani dramas. People crave “masala,” he claimed, and they receive it from the love tales shown in Pakistani dramas. Additionally, he added that although the subject of “shaadi” and two loves being unable to combine has become popular and dull, the audience still finds enjoyment in seeing such stuff.

He claimed that the primary “masla” is that people dislike viewing television programmes on actual problems, such as those involving their families, businesses, or children. Quraishi also honourably referred to the ongoing TV drama Pinjra, which focuses on the issues facing developing adolescents. He argued that people only want to watch programmes that tell stories about “Larka, larki, romance, and shaadi nahi ho rahi.” Creators only produce those dramas as a result.

He also related to Hassan how amusing it was when he would question his employees for their preferences and they would respond “shaadi.” He makes it clear that “shaadi puray mulk ka masla hai” and subjects like success and education are irrelevant for dramas and would not garner large audiences. Hassan and Faysal also talked about the paucity of comedies and sitcoms. They discussed how there used to be many comedic dramas, but today there are only one or possibly two, with Bulbulay being the most well-liked.
