Lahore Lahore Aye, Ertugrul wins hearts of Pakistanis

You may have heard the phrase “Lahore Lahore Aye” several times in your life, but listening to it from a foreigner is always a delight.

Soon after Turkish actor, Engin Altan Duzyatan aka Ertugrul landed in Lahore, the citizens were excited to see him and wanted to listen to the famous phrase.

Today on Friday, Ertugrul addressed a press conference and talked to the media, during which he was asked to say “Lahore Lahore Aye”.

One of the media reporters asked if he could say anything in Urdu, the Dirilis: Ertugrul actor said that he knew a few words in the language like “Shukriya” (Thank You) and concluded the press conference by saying “Lahore Lahore Aye” in his Turkish accent.

Engin Altan Duzyatan played the role of Ertugrul in the Turkish drama series Dirilis: Ertugrul and rose popularity across the world, especially in Pakistan for his outstanding acting skills and good looks.

He arrived in Pakistan on Thursday (10th December) for a short visit to meet a private company.

Turkish actor Engin Altan Duzyatan aka Ertugrul has addressed a press conference in Lahore on Friday and said he is ready to work in Pakistan only if he finds the story good.

Engin Altan, who played the role of Ertugrul in the historical Turkish drama series Dirilis: Ertugrul, revealed during the press conference that he had signed some new projects in Pakistan. The Turkish actor had signed a deal with a private textile company to become its new brand ambassador.

Talking about the popularity of his show in Pakistan, Engin said it was a great pleasure for him that Prime Minister Imran Khan had praised Dirilis: Ertugrul.

“It was big drama series based on Islamic story,” he said.

About the love he received in Pakistan, Ertugrul said,

“I know Pakistani people love me. I am also aware of the natural beauty of the country.”

Speaking about Pakistani food, he said it was very delicious, however, it was too spicy.

Engin aka Ertugrul landed in Pakistan on Thursday morning at Lahore’s Allama The Pakistan Embassy in Turkey had announced Engin’s arrival in Pakistan on Twitter and shared a photo of Ertugrul after he landed on Thursday morning at Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport.
