Two music legends have just joined the fourth season of The Circle, but who they’ll be playing may surprise you. Melanie “Mel B” Brown and Emma Bunton, the Spice Girls, we’re introduced to The Circle as a single catfish profile in the first four episodes.
Both Baby Spice and Scary Spice, both 46, will keep their true identities hidden for the time being. They’ll play a man named Jared in the competition social media game, for whom they’ve developed a false backstory. They claimed Jared is a children’s book author, a ruse they’ll have to stick to if they want to reach their ultimate Circle goal.
If that isn’t enough of a twist, the Spice Girls will not be playing for the win. They’ll instead spend a limited amount of time in The Circle in the hopes of actually catfishing their fellow gamers. The show’s prize fund will increase from $100,000 to $150,000 for the lucky winner if they successfully deceive the majority of the players.
