Waseela-e-Tasleem program will be expanded across Pakistan: Dr. Sania Nishtar

On Wednesday, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Social Security Dr. Sania Nishtar visited the National University of Technology.

According to the details, Dr. Sania Nishtar said that 4 million primary school children will benefit from the Waseela-e-Tasleem Program from next year.

During her visit, Dr. Sania Nishtar talked to the students of the university, listened to their academic aspirations and the issues faced by them.

In total, 49 eligible students of the National University of Technology were awarded the Ehsaas Scholarship in the year 2019-20.

The Special Assistant for Social Security said that the feedback of the students is very important to further improve the Ehsaas Undergraduate Scholarship Program.

The students were delighted to sit down with Dr. Sania and described the Ehsaas Undergraduate Scholarship as a great opportunity for students in need.

Eligible students can apply through the online portal. This portal is open until November 30, 2020.

Dr. Sania Nishtar along with the Ehsaas team also visited Islamabad Model School for Girls and Mubeen Shah Model School for Boys in Jhang Syedan ​​to review the enrollment of deserving children in the Waseela-e-Tasleem Program.

During the visit, she met with teachers, parents, and children.

Dr. Sania Nishtar said that all institutional arrangements have been made for the expansion of resource education in all the districts of Pakistan. From next year, 4 million primary school children will benefit.

Under the Ehsaas program, Rs. 2000 per quarter for girls and Rs. 1500 per quarter for boys have been increased.
