KARACHI: Five young girls missing from Saeedabad area of Karachi were recovered from Nazimabad on Tuesday.
According to the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) South, a case of abduction of the girls was registered on February 15 in the complaint filed by the father, the missing girls were recovered from Khandu Goth area of Nazimabad.
According to DIG South, three of the rescued girls are sisters and two are their cousins, the ages of these girls are between 15 to 19 years who had left home voluntarily.
The DIG said that all the five girls were working in a thread factory in Nazimabad. The recovered girls will be transferred to Darul Aman or a shelter home on court orders.
According to the police, the girls hail from Sargodha.
According to DIG South, the owner and contractor of the yarn factory have also been arrested under the Child Labor Act.
