Britney Spears’ conservatorship trauma may prevent her from performing again

Britney Spears
  • Britney Spears says her 13-year conservatorship may prevent her from performing again.
  • Spears: “I’m pretty traumatized for life and yes I’m pissed as f*** and no I won’t probably perform again just because I’m stubborn and I will make my point”.

Britney Spears stated that her scarred 13 years of conservatorship may prevent her from performing again.

The pop star aired her frustration with the 13-year conservatorship, which included the rights to photos and films, in a message that the Toxic singer uploaded on Instagram.

“I will be honest in the beginning 13 years of conservatorship like 8 videos I only like one – Work Bitch … the most offensive SO CALLED professional pictures on every tour,” she captioned.

“I mean they could have at least cheated and retouched them for me … just saying … 2 day shoots for a new show in Vegas literally the worst ever … and me excited for the pictures for 5 months on tour … they never showed me any … I’d rather quit shit in my pool and shoot photos of myself in studios over working with the most offensive people in my life.”

The 40-year-old singer continued by saying she didn’t enjoy performing on stage with the dancers her team had hired.

“I’m pretty traumatized for life and yes I’m pissed as f*** and no I won’t probably perform again just because I’m stubborn and I will make my point,” she penned.

Jayden Spears, Britney Spears’ son, defends his family’s position in conservatorship

Jayden Spears
  • Jayden James Federline, Britney Spears’ son, defended his mother’s family
  • He stated that his granddad, Jamie Spears, “did not deserve” the media backlash
  • Jayden is of the view that Jamie was just “trying to be like any father letting her pursue her daughter’s dream

Jayden James Federline, Britney Spears’ son, defended his mother’s family, saying they “are not evil people.”

In an interview, the Toxic hitmaker’s second-born son, whom she shares with ex-husband Kevin Federline, stated that his granddad, Jamie Spears, “did not deserve” the media backlash.

Britney has spoken up about the violence she endured throughout her 13-year conservatorship, particularly at the hands of her father, whom she accuses of controlling her life and forcing her to work long hours.

The singer has also claimed that her father, who is also her conservator, has forbidden her from marrying or having her birth control device removed.

However, Jayden is of the view that Jamie was just “trying to be like any father letting her pursue her daughter’s dream of becoming a superstar.”

“But I did think maybe the conservatorship went on too long, probably why my Mum was very angry about the whole situation that she was working for too long and I personally think she was,” Jayden added. “She should have taken a break and relaxed.”

Jayden went on to say that he believes his grandfather “does not deserve all the hatred he is getting in the media” while adding, “I love him, with all my heart. He was just trying to be a father.”

Britney’s kid, speaking for himself and his elder brother Sean Preston Federline, stated that his mother is “ceasing to realise how much he cares for her” and that the family that his mother criticises on social media is completely different in reality.

“When I meet them in person they would not do such things,” he told the outlet as he described his Uncle Bryan as someone who “always wants to go and play ball in the park” and his grandmother Lynne, who he calls Memow, “a really nice person.”

“Whenever I see her, she cares about me. They are not bad people! They know what we are going through now,” he noted. “They want our future to be what we want it to be. They just want to watch over us. Memow and Uncle Bryan are a good part of our lives. They have taught me how to deal with things.”

Previously, Kevin got a restraining order against his former father-in-law in 2019 after Jamie got into physical altercation with then 13-year-old Sean, as per Page Six.

Later in March 2020, Jayden called Jamie “pretty big (expletive)” during an Instagram live and even said, “He can go die.”

“Looking back, I regret saying all kinds of things. I really feel bad. Preston and I feel bad. We want to see him. I want to see him, sit with him next to the piano, talk about my future,” Jayden shared his regret over his comments.

Britney Spears discusses conservatorship in detail

Britney Spears
  • Britney Spears uploaded a 22-minute voice memo on YouTube about her family’s conservatorship.
  • Spears’ diatribe was uploaded to YouTube Sunday.
  • Spears expressed gratitude for the #FreeBritney movement in her audio.

Pop music legend Britney Spears shocked her fans by posting a lengthy diatribe about her ten-year “abusive” conservatorship, which she then hastily erased.

The Toxic singer, 40, went frank in a 22-minute voice memo detailing her experience being placed under a conservatorship by her family

“I’ve had tons of opportunities — Oprah, interviews — to go on a platform and share the hardships and just really anything that’s going on in my mind,” the Gimme More singer explained in the audio recording, which was uploaded to YouTube Sunday.

“I really don’t think any of that is relevant, getting paid to tell your story. I feel like it’s kind of silly.” She also alleged her 2008 forced hospitalization was pre-meditated to help her family took control of her assets and finances for 13 years.

Spears, who recently released the Elton John duet Hold Me Closer, said the conservatorship was all basically set up. “There was no drugs in my system, no alcohol, nothing. It was pure abuse. And I haven’t even really shared half of it.”

Detailing her father’s abuse, Spears said, after the first “two weeks of being hospitalized and completely traumatized, I started working right away.”

“All I do remember is I had to do what I was told. I was told I was fat every day. I had to go to the gym, I had to just … I never remember feeling so demoralized. They made me feel like nothing. And I went along with it because I was scared. I was scared and fearful. I didn’t even really do anything, and I had like a SWAT team [show up] — none of it made sense to me,” she added.

Spears expresses gratitude for the #FreeBritney movement in her audio. “I’m sharing this to let people realise that I’m only human,” I said. I do feel like a victim after these things. She told her followers.

In November 2021, a judge with the Los Angeles Superior Court formally ended the conservatorship.
