Logan Mwangi photographed dancing with ‘evil’ stepbrother

  • In May 2020, John Cole requested parental rights for his stepson.

An unsettling video captures adolescent killer Craig Mulligan dancing happily with his stepbrother, 5, just months before killing him.

The body of Logan Mwangi was discovered in a river in Bridgend, South Wales, in July of last year, only 250 meters from the family home.

Cuts, bruises, and “catastrophic” internal injuries that specialists said could only have been caused by a “brutal and persistent assault” were all over him.

He had been “dehumanized” in the months before his death, Cardiff Crown Court was told.

He started self-hurting, wetting himself more regularly, and his stutter got considerably worse.

His mother Angharad Williamson, 31, and stepfather John Cole, 40, received life sentences yesterday.

Mulligan, 14, was automatically anonymous due to his age, but the judge determined that disclosing his identity was in the best interests of the general public.

If Mulligan was not identified, Mrs. Justice Jefford said that “there is a substantial vacuum in any comprehension of this case.”

The youngster who killed Logan and assisted in disposing of his body was given a life sentence with a minimum of 15 years in prison.

His former foster parents, who had lately pleaded with social authorities to remove him from them, described him as “pure evil.”

When Williamson started dating his father, Mulligan—the son of Cole’s ex—met Logan.

The two kids can be seen dancing to Mariah Carey’s “All I want for Christmas is You” in a video that was posted on Instagram. They appear to be getting along.

Logan smiles as he mimics his stepbrother’s motions by fluttering his arms in sync.

Logan’s body was found on July 31 of last year, according to the Sun, and the video was released on Instagram on December 11 of that year.

Rebecca Trudgill, Mulligan’s mother, dated Cole for more than ten years before their union came to an end in 2019.

Williamson and Mulligan had met Cole, and Mulligan had been placed in foster care after his mother made up a cancer diagnosis.

Cole has been forbidden from having unsupervised contact with kids as a result of his felony offenses.

But in May 2020, he requested parental rights for his stepson, and five days later, Logan died, and his request was approved.

At Cardiff Crown Court, jurors learned that Mulligan had a history of attacking animals, frail adults, and small children in “cruel” ways.

He assaulted a senior citizen and stepped on a caregiver’s foot after she underwent surgery, among other incidents.

The youngster, who had training in martial arts, would karate kick teachers and once hit a three-year-old child.

One girl who was raised by Mulligan’s foster parents told how he persuaded her little nieces to participate in a “murder game” in which he would then place their dead bodies in bags of black cloth.

He seemed fixated on killing people, she claimed.

He would frequently discuss killing others. He made it appear as if he wanted it to be real life and added that if the movie The Purge was true, he would want to kill my parents.
