At least 14 people were killed when a four-story building collapsed due to monsoon rains, authorities in Mumbai said Tuesday.

The structure, which was located next to a slum in a central city district, collapsed just before midnight on Monday, trapping more than 20 people.

By Tuesday afternoon, 13 people had been rescued, but 14 bodies had been recovered from the rubble.
