‘Concrete Cowboys’: Idris Elba all set to win hearts of his fans at Netflix

The most prominent English actor Idris Elba is all set to win hearts of his fans with a different role this time.

According to the details, Idris Elba will star in father-son drama ‘Concrete Cowboy‘. It will go on air on Netflix in 2021.

However, the streaming giant Netflix has acquired worldwide rights to the actor’s upcoming film.

The film had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) in September.

Concrete Cowboys marks the directorial debut of Ricky Staub, who has also penned the screenplay with Dan Walser, reports said.

Lee Daniels Entertainment in collaboration with Tucker Tooley Entertainment and Elba’s Green Door Pictures has produced the film.

Moreover, Greg Renker, Jason Barhydt, Gregoire Gensollen, Lorraine Burgess, Neri, Sam Mercer, Tegan Jones, Staci Hagenbaugh, Alistair Burlingham, and Gary Raskin served as executive producers.

Idris Elba says racist content shouldn’t be censored on television

British actor Idris Elba came forth advocating for racially sensitive content to go uncensored for viewers, much like sexist content on television.

During an interview, the actor claimed a rating system warns viewers of racist perspectives shown in films and the uncensored content would allow viewers to know the truth.

“That’s why we have a rating system: We tell you that this particular content is rated U, PG, 15, 18. To mock the truth, you have to know the truth. But to censor racist themes within a show, to pull it — wait a second, I think viewers should know that people made shows like this,” he said.
