Bobi, who is 30 years and 266 days old, was named the world’s oldest dog by the Guinness Book of World Records on Tuesday. He is not only the oldest dog alive; he is also the oldest dog ever.

Guinness World Records announced the new record on Twitter, along with a video of Bobi. “New record: Oldest dog EVER – Bobi at 30 years and 266 days. The secret to a long life, according to human Leonel Costa, is free roaming, human food and socialising with other animals,” the description stated.

Bobi is a purebred Rafeiro do Alentejo with an average life expectancy of 12-14 years.
