Babar Azam Shines After His Incredible Maiden T20I Century

Congratulatulatory messages pour in as skipper Babar Azam becomes Pakistan’s third batsman to score a maiden T20I century.

The duo of Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan help Pakistan lead the series 2-1 against the Proteas by 9 wickets in the third Twenty20 International (T20I) match at Supersport Park in Centurion.

Babar Azam scored a maiden century off just 49 balls. It was his first hundred in T20Is and also he became the third Pakistani to score a century in all three formats of the game.

For Azam’s extraordinary 122 off 59, Babar Azam has been named Player of the Match.

He smashed 15 fours and four sixes in his knock.

However, fans, social media users and other fellow cricketers have gone crazy after the skipper’s brilliant win.

“Absolutely loved that innings from @babarazam258 what a historical century. Congratulations to Pakistan on the T20I series win. Job well done,” wrote Wahab Riaz.

Politicians also jumped in to congratulate the winning hero over his remarkable performance.

Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood wrote, “What a remarkable run chase by Pakistan to win the 3rd T20 match against South Africa. Memorable innings by Babar. A masterclass. 100 in 49 balls. And Rizwan. Solid as ever. Congratulations team Pakistan.”

Babar Azam Becomes Fastest batsman to achieve 6000-run landmark

Pakistan’s skipper Babar Azam has achieved another milestone as he became Pakistan’s fastest batsman to achieve the 6000-run landmark in the first T20I match against South Africa.

Babar Azam joins queue with West Indies Chris Gayle as he became the second person in the world to achieve this feat. Chris Gayle had hit 6,000 runs back in 2014.

Pakistan has on Saturday won the first T20I match against South Africa by four wickets and leads the series 1-0.

The Green Shirts successfully chased their highest T20I total to beat South Africa by 4 wickets in the last-over thriller.

Moreover, Mohammad Rizwan’s 50-ball 74* and Faheem Ashraf’s explosive 14-ball 30 helps the visitors across the line.

Rizwan once again becomes the star for Pakistan, batting through the innings and scoring a swift 74 from 50 balls, including nine fours and two sixes.
