Faisal Javed Khan thanks Bamsi Bey, Artuk Bey for visiting Pakistan

PTI leader Senator Faisal Javed Khan has thanked Dirilis: Ertugrul stars Nuretin Sonmez and Ayberk Pekcan for visiting Pakistan and playing their key role in promoting the bilateral exchange of knowledge between the brotherly nations.

Nuretin Sonmez played the role of Bamsi Bey and Ayberk Pekcan portrayed the role of Artuk Bey in the historical drama series Dirilis: Ertugrul.

“Thank you for coming to Pakistan Bamsi Bey (@Nuretinsonmez) & Artuk Bey (Ayberk Pekcan) as we look forward to [further] bilateral exchange of knowledge, ideas, talent & content between Pakistani & Turkish entertainment industries, [especially] to promote Islamic History via Art, Film & Drama,” Faisal Javed Khan wrote on Twitter.

According to the details, Nurettin Sönmez aka Bamsı Beyrek and Ayberk Pekcan aka Artuk Bey arrived in Pakistan along with the Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu.

Mevlut Cavusoglu along with a 20-member delegation arrived in Islamabad on Tuesday (12th January).

As per the sources, Nurettin Sönmez and Ayberk Pekcan were the part of the Turkish delegation.

Good news for all the Dirilis: Ertugrul fans as two of the cast members have also arrived in Pakistan.

According to the details, Nurettin Sönmez aka Bamsı Beyrek and Ayberk Pekcan aka Artuk Bey arrived in Pakistan along with the Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu.

Mevlut Cavusoglu along with a 20-member delegation arrived in Islamabad on Tuesday.

As per the sources, Nurettin Sönmez and Ayberk Pekcan are also part of the Turkish delegation.

It is pertinent to mention here that President Dr. Arif Alvi has also awarded Hilal-e-Pakistan to the Turkish Foreign Minister in recognition of his services for international peace and security and further strengthening of the Pakistan-Turkey bilateral relationship.

Earlier today (13th Jan) Pakistan and Turkey had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the promotion of cooperation in the education sector.

The MoU was signed by Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu and Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood in Islamabad on Wednesday.

Pakistan and Turkey also agreed to pursue a joint strategy at the international level on matters of mutual interests in order to further strengthen the bilateral relations between the two countries.

The understanding came at a meeting between Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu in Islamabad on Wednesday.
