Gaddafi Stadium is set to come alive with music as top Pakistani artists prepare to perform at its grand reopening. The event, scheduled for today, will feature performances by Aima Baig, Ali Zafar, and Arif Lohar, with free entry for fans.

In a video shared by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Instagram, Aima Baig invited fans, saying, “Hi everyone, my name is Aima Baig, and tomorrow is the opening of new Gaddafi Stadium. I will be performing along with some amazing artists. Don’t miss out.”

Punjabi folk singer Arif Lohar also confirmed his participation, stating, “Asalam O Alaikum, I am your Arif Lohar, and I am coming to perform at Gaddafi Stadium on February 07, 2025.”

The stadium’s renovations are nearly complete, with improvements designed to meet international standards. PCB officials remain confident that all upgrades will be finished in time.

A five-story building at Karachi’s National Stadium now includes modern facilities such as anti-corruption units, physio rooms, and upgraded dressing rooms. Additional improvements across stadiums include better seating, new washrooms, digital scoreboards, and advanced LED floodlights.

The grand opening at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium will be attended by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. Meanwhile, National Stadium Karachi’s inauguration is set for February 11, with President Asif Ali Zardari as the chief guest.

The ICC Champions Trophy begins on February 19, with Pakistan facing New Zealand in Karachi. If India does not reach the final, the title match will take place at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
