Prime Minister Imran Khan, along with other development projects, has also inaugurated housing flats in Jalozai, Nowshera.

On the occasion, the Prime Minister was briefed on the project by the provincial housing authority officials.

He was informed that more housing projects would also be set up in other cities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) including Peshawar, Mardan, Swat, Charsadda and Hangu. A total of 30,788 units will be manufactured in the next six months.

Moreover, the premier also distributed ownership documents to the allottees of the flats.

He said that providing shelter to the poor and middle class is one of the priorities of the government.

However, in this regard, projects are being launched across the country.

Earlier in a day, PM Imran also inaugurated the Institute of Cardiology in Peshawar on Wednesday (today).

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony in Peshawar, the premier said the poor people who cannot afford treatment of heart diseases at private hospitals will now have best medical facilities at this Cardiac Institute.

He said the institute will provide quality medical treatment to heart patients in the region.

PM Imran also congratulated the KP Chief Minister for completing this project despite financial constraints amidst Covid-19. He directed for maintaining high standard of facilities at the institute.

The KP government’s universal health insurance is another important initiative in terms of provision of health coverage to the people of the province, particularly the deserving families.

Imran Khan said the PTI government’s Sehat Insaf Card scheme will contribute greatly for ensuring health facilities to the deserving families. However, the private sector is being facilitated and encouraged to construct hospitals, the premier added.

Moreover, He also inaugurated the Hayatabad Sports Complex uplift project, under which a cricket ground of International Cricket Council’s standard would be constructed.

On the other hand, speaking about the APS Peshawar Massacre, the Prime Minister said even today, we are saddened and grieved over the terrorist incident.

Imran Khan said that the whole nation defeated terrorism through unity. APS Peshawar massacre united the whole nation.

Also, in his tweet on Wednesday, PM Imran wrote, “Today, six years ago, the nation was shocked & grieved by the extreme act of terrorism against children & teachers of APS; and the nation came together with a resolve to take on those responsible. We remain determined & are moving forward in fulfilling this commitment to the nation.”
