Most expensive substance in the globe; only a gram cost usd 62 trillion it is called ‘antimatter’.
Not tritium, painite, or Californianium 252 is the most expensive material on the planet. It is antimatter, which is defined in current physics as a substance composed of the antiparticles (or “partners”) of the corresponding particles in “ordinary” matter.
In plain terms, it is a matter made up of elementary particles that are antiparticles to those found in normal matter.
Is it possible to touch it? We have no idea. For years, experts have been perplexed by this mysterious phenomenon. However, experts say it is prohibitively expensive.
Antimatter definitions, explainers, and documentaries can be found online. If you want a fictionalised version of its pure magnificence, check Tom Hanks’ 2009 film Angels & Demons.
Antimatter is defined as “ordinary matter with the opposite electric charge” by Live Science.
It adds: “An electron, which has a negative charge, has an antimatter partner known as a positron. A positron is a particle with the same mass as an electron but a positive charge. Particles with no electric charge, like neutrons, are often their own antimatter partners. But researchers have yet to determine if mysterious tiny particles known as neutrinos, which are also neutral, are their own antiparticles.
Antimatter exists. It’s not something from a science fiction story. The only issue is that antimatter is incredibly rare, and scientists have no idea why.
According to some interesting fact lists about antimatter, it should have annihilated all matter in the cosmos, humanity has only made a trace amount of it, and it could be utilised to power spacecraft in the future. When we talk about the cosmos and how it came to be, antimatter comes up.
Paul Dirac’s 1928 work launched the present theory of antimatter. However, other experiments were undertaken over the following decades with no conclusive determination about its qualities and full potential.
In this story, we didn’t even know what feature image to use to depict antimatter.
