PTI finalizes Sheikh Waqas Akarm name for PAC chairmanship slot

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has finalized the name of Sheikh Waqas Akram for the chairmanship of Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of Parliament.

The name of Ali Muhammad Khan was also discussed for the Chairman Public Accounts Committee and the Political Committee of PTI finally finalized the name of Sheikh Waqas Akram.

PTI founder Imran Khan has also approved the name of Sheikh Waqas Akram.

The political committee will send the name of Member National Assembly Sheikh Waqas Akram to the Speaker in a day or two.

It should be noted that last day Sher Afzal Marwat could not meet PTI founder in Adiala Jail.

PTI sources said that PTI founder refused to meet Sher Afzal Marwat even today. Last day PTI founder and former prime minister also refused to meet Sher Afzal Marwat.

PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf(PTI) leader Ali Muhammad Khan filed an appeal against the rejection of nomination papers.

PTI leader Ali Muhammad Khan submitted papers for National Assembly Constituency NA-23 Mardan which his nomination paper was rejected by the Returning Officers. Eight candidates of PTI, including Ali Muhammad Khan, filed appeals against the rejection of papers.

PTI candidate Mujahid Khan from NA-21 Mardan, Zahir Shah Toro from PK-57, and Abdul Salam from PK-58 have filed an appeal.

Apart from this, Iftikhar Mashwani, a candidate from PK 60, Ameer Farzand Khan from PK 56, Aftab Alam from NA 35 Kohat and Yusuf Khan from NA 31 Hangu filed an appeal.

Election Tribunal Judge Justice Shakeel Ahmed will hear the appeals.
