Musk claims Tesla Cybertruck can also become a boat

Musk claims Tesla Cybertruck can also become a boat
  • Tesla Cybertruck will be able to cross water if necessary, according to the company’s CEO.
  • The electric vehicle is made of stainless steel, and it has a stylish, geometrical shape.
  • Production was scheduled to begin in 2022, however, the launch date has been moved to 2023.

Elon Musk, the wealthy CEO of Tesla, stated that if necessary, the Tesla Cybertruck will be strong and safe enough to function “briefly as a boat.”

The CEO of the company claimed on Twitter that the futuristic truck, which resembles something out of a science fiction film, will be waterproof and able to “cross rivers, lakes, and seas that are not too turbulent.”

Musk cited the need for the vehicle to cross the channel between the SpaceX facility Starbase and South Padre Island as the reason the Cybertruck was constructed in that manner.

Tesla enthusiasts became intrigued right away.

Even the truck was imagined by a user.

In 2019, the Tesla Cybertruck was unveiled. Tesla’s production was scheduled to begin in late 2022, however, the launch date has been moved to the beginning of 2023.

The electric vehicle is made of stainless steel, which is also used in rockets, and it has a stylish, geometrical shape.

According to the Tesla website, the truck outperforms sports cars in terms of performance.

Musk had stated in a tweet earlier this year that the initial manufacturing would be a four-motor model with separate, ultra-fast reaction torque control of each wheel.

Elon Musk launches Tesla Humanoid Robot

Elon Musk launches Tesla Humanoid Robot
  • Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, has unveiled a prototype of the Optimus humanoid robot.
  • Production may begin as early as next year, and future uses could include cooking, gardening, and other things.
  • According to reports, the robot was ready in just six months.

The future depicted in the film I, Robot is getting closer to us.

According to Tesla’s latest robot demonstration, we will soon have robots helping us with daily duties, at least in factories before our homes.

Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, has unveiled a prototype of the Optimus humanoid robot. With its autopilot driver assistance system available on its cars, Tesla provides some of its AI software and sensors.

It was also the first time Optimus operated without a tether on stage, according to Musk, who claims that it will be able to accomplish far more than what was demonstrated live.

The CEO continued, “Optimus is built for mass manufacturing to be created in millions, which makes it different from previous amazing humanoid robots.”

The robot entered the stage first and performed the “raise the roof” dance motion. A few videos showing Optimus performing additional jobs, like as picking up boxes, are also provided by the company.

Later, the Tesla team unveiled a new prototype of Optimus that was “quite near to production,” with its body fully constructed but not yet fully functional.

Although it could wave to the crowd, Musk claimed that it wasn’t yet ready to walk. According to reports, the robot was ready in just six months.

It boasts Wi-Fi and LTE connection, a 2.3kWh battery pack, and a Tesla SoC. The presentation concentrated on how the robot moved its hands and joints, demonstrating how it analysed data for each joint.

In the future, this should enable the robot to pick up tiny parts with a precise grip.

According to Musk, production may begin as early as next year, and future uses could include cooking, gardening, and other things.

According to him, the assembly line and production operations of the corporation would undergo a revolution. Its pricing could be “likely less than $20,000.”

Twitter to make shareholders vote on Elon Musk accession

Twitter Elon Musk
  • Twitter shareholders will vote on September 13 on whether to approve the $44 billion acquisition of the company by Tesla.
  • The company is in a legal dispute with the CEO of Tesla, Elon Musk, over the deal.
  • The case will be tried for five days in October, a judge’s decision from last week.

Despite the company’s ongoing legal dispute with the multibillionaire CEO of Tesla over the deal, Elon Musk, Twitter has set a date for its shareholders to vote on whether to approve the $44 billion acquisition.

According to a regulatory filing, the business informed shareholders in a letter delivered on Tuesday that a virtual special meeting will be held on September 13 to vote on the merger deal.

The announcement comes as Twitter (TWTR) and Musk’s legal battle against the acquisition heats up.

Earlier this month, Musk tried to cancel his agreement to purchase Twitter, alleging that the firm had broken the terms of the agreement by making false assertions about the number of bot accounts using its network and withholding information that would have allowed him to assess the problem.

Days later, Twitter sued the businessman, requesting that the judge order him to carry out the agreement. The case will be tried for five days in October, according to a judge’s decision from last week.

Aside from the Musk lawsuit, one of the few remaining formal processes required to complete the purchase is the shareholder vote.

The board of Twitter has unanimously advised shareholders to approve the deal. Additionally, if shareholders approve the deal, Twitter may have more negotiating power in its legal battle with Musk.

A 38 percent premium above the stock price the day before Musk declared in April that he had become one of Twitter’s largest shareholders was stipulated in the acquisition deal, which stipulated that Musk would pay $54.20 for each share of Twitter that was still in circulation.

According to a statement from the board of Twitter, the company is “committed to finalizing the merger on the price and terms agreed upon with Mr. Musk.”

Elon Musk: Tesla Sold Its Bitcoin Due to China’s COVID Lockdowns

Elon Musk
  • Tesla sold 75 percent of its Bitcoin holdings, valued at around $936 million.
  • Company changed majority of Bitcoin to fiat currency for a realised gain, resulting in a $106 million charge.
  • China’s “zero COVID policy” is being tested once more, sparking fresh economic headwinds.

Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, detailed during today’s results call why the business sold 75 percent of its Bitcoin holdings, valued at around $936 million, as reported in its Q2 earnings report.

“The reason we sold a bunch of our Bitcoin holdings was that we were uncertain when the COVID lockdowns in China would alleviate,” Musk said on the call. Given the unpredictability of COVID lockdowns in China, it was crucial for us to optimise our cash position.

Despite the fact that China had loosened COVID restrictions in major cities at the end of May, an increase in instances in Beijing and other critical regions caused the government to reinstate restrictions a few weeks later. In Shanghai, mass testing and lockdowns were performed earlier this month.

Tesla Q2 2022 report, 75% of its bitcoin assets have been sold

Tesla bitcoin
  • Tesla has sold off 75% of its bitcoin assets.
  • The electric vehicle manufacturer invested $1.5 billion in bitcoin in the first quarter of 2017.
  • In the last four months, the price of bitcoin has lost half of its value.
  • Tesla’s sales increased its cash position by $936 million.

Early last year, Tesla invested $1.5 billion in bitcoin, betting on the digital currency’s “long-term potential,” as described by the electric vehicle manufacturer. The business has already sold off three-quarters of its assets.

“As of the end of Q2, we have converted approximately 75% of our Bitcoin purchases into fiat currency,” Tesla said in its second-quarter earnings statement on Wednesday. The corporation reported that these sales increased its cash position by $936 million.

It’s a swift turnaround for Tesla and CEO Elon Musk, who frequently tweeted about various digital currencies during last year’s cryptocurrency boom. In the previous four months, the price of bitcoin has lost half of its value, resulting in a “crypto winter.”

The fair market value of Tesla’s bitcoin holdings hit $2.48 billion in the first quarter of 2021 and was approximately $2 billion by the end of the year. Bitcoin began the second quarter above $46,000 and ended below $19,000, but the company did not disclose the price at which it sold its holdings or the magnitude of its impairment.
