Motorola to release three new flagship phones this month

Motorola

Motorola is expected to debut three new phones at the end of this month, according to rumors. The Motorola Edge 20, Motorola Edge 20 Pro, and Motorola Edge 20 Lite are the names of the devices.

Motorola Edge 20 Pro

The Motorola Edge 20 Pro is believed to be equipped with a Snapdragon 870 engine, a 6.67-inch FHD+ 120Hz display, and a 108MP triple camera system. The device will be available in Asia, Europe, Australia, and Latin America, and it will include an in-display fingerprint scanner as well as a 4,500mAh battery.

Motorola Edge 20

The global version of Edge 20 will have a 6.67-inch FHD+ 120Hz display and a Snapdragon 778G processor with 5G support. The camera arrangement will be similar to the Pro model’s, but the battery will be smaller at 4,000mAh.

The Edge 20 in North America will have a slightly larger 6.68-inch FHD+ 120Hz display. It will likewise be powered by the Snapdragon 778G processor, but the camera system will be slightly inferior. The main sensor will be a 108MP unit once again, while the wide-angle and macro cameras will have fewer megapixels than the global version.

Lastly, the battery will be a larger 5,000mAh capacity, and the phone will be released in the United States under Verizon’s moniker.

Motorola Edge 20 Lite

Last but not least, there’s the Motorola Edge 20 Lite, which is a less expensive variant of the Edge 20. The screen’s size is unknown, however, we do know that it will be an FHD+ 90Hz panel. The MediaTek Dimensity 720 CPU powers the Edge 20 Lite, which has the same cameras and battery as the Edge 20 in North America. It will be available worldwide, but not in the United States.

In terms of design, it’s safe to assume that all of the phones will be similar, with a hole-punch selfie camera in the center.

Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra to skip the megapixel war

Samsung Galaxy S22

The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra was previously reported to feature Samsung’s upcoming 200MP sensor, but new sources contradict this.  Samsung-related leakster, has now backed up previous claims, saying that the company will not make another push in the megapixel fight.

The company intends to employ a “polished” new version of the current 108MP ISOCELL HM3 sensor instead of the 200MP sensor. Regrettably, there are no specifics about what “polished” means.

We’re also curious if Samsung is having trouble producing a high-quality 200MP sensor, or if the company has just concluded there’s still a lot of potential in the 108MP ISOCELL imager to be explored before moving on.

Nokia X20 and Nokia X10 launched in Pakistan with blazing fast 5G

Nokia X20

The all-new Nokia X-series, featuring Nokia X20 and Nokia X10, just launched in Pakistan with speedy 5G and a promise of three years of software upgrades.

Nokia X10

Nokia X10 features a standard Nokia build — donut-style camera housing and thick bezel with Nokia’s branding stamped on it.

The new smartphone has a 6.67” IPS LCD with a Full HD resolution but a high touch sampling refresh rate is not to be found here.

The X10 is toughened with Gorilla Glass 3. The on-screen camera is 8MP.

The frame is plastic and contains a side-facing thumbprint reader, a dedicated button for the Google Assistant, and a 3.5mm audio jack. You can pick from Forest and Snow colors. On the back of the phone, you’d find a quad-camera co-engineered with ZEISS — a 48MP wide lens, a 5MP ultra-wide lens, and two 2MP depth and macro sensors.

The Nokia X10 packs a Snapdragon 480 chipset combined with 128GB/64GB of storage, 6/4GB of memory, and powered by pure Android11 with a 4470 mAh battery that is capable of fast charging at 18W.

[amazonad category=”Mobile”]

Nokia X20

Nokia X20 has the same body, chip, battery, and display as the X10, except it’s available in Midnight Sun and Nordic Blue colors. Its screen is protected with Gorilla Glass 5, but it shares the dimensions and specifications of the X10.

The camera setup is where you’d find the difference. X20 has a 64MP sensor instead of 48MP. The 5MP ultrawide and the 2MP macro sensor are the same as on X10.

The chipset and battery are brought over from X10. However, X20 pairs them with 128GB of storage and 6GB/8GB of memory.
