Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman held talks with Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi in Riyadh on Wednesday.
The visiting dignitary and Saudi Crown Prince have discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and agreed to strengthen ties to promote cooperation in the region.
Iraq’s premier at his arrival was received at King Khalid International Airport by the Crown Prince.
According to media reports, the main purpose of his visit to the Kingdom was to discuss the relations between the two countries and establish strengthening ties in the region.
The Iraqi ambassador to Saudi Arabia in his statement said, “Al- Kadhimi’s visit comes at an important time to discuss and collaborate on social, political and economic issues.”
He further added, “The two countries plan to increase border crossings so that more important meetings between businessmen operating in the two countries can be held.”
Earlier, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman had wished Prime Minister Imran Khan for his swift recovery from CovID-19.
The Saudi King and the Crown Prince sent cables to Prime Minister Imran Khan after his infection with the novel coronavirus.
The agency added that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince wished the Prime Minster “permanent health and wellness, and a speedy recovery.”
