The renowned Pakistani fashion designer Maria B took to Instagram to offer her opinion on the Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Act, 2018, which is now the hot topic dominating the nation.

She released a video of her discussing the Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Act, 2018, with her sisters Najia and Aafia.

“The first thing that one needs to do is to identify what transgender means. Who is the most famous transgender in the world? Everyone knows about Kim Kardashian and her father. He was her father first and then her mother. His name is Caitlyn Jenner,” she said.

She also questioned whether the Pakistani law that was passed was intended for those like Jenner. “No absolutely not, this act was made for the khwaja sira community. There is a massive difference between them and transgenders.”

She previously engaged in a verbal altercation with transgender rights advocate Dr. Mehrub Moiz Awan after the latter was denied a spot on a TEDxISL (International School Lahore) panel, a decision she criticised as transphobic.

The transgender Mehrub Moiz Awan, who was invited to a private Islamabad school for a TED Talk, has been making waves today when Maria B spoke out against him. The students of the school left him to speak at the event because of his extremely liberal ideas.

Maria B voiced her opinion earlier today on her Instagram after learning that Mehrub Moiz Awan had been prohibited by the school from speaking out at a TED Talk Event. She said, “WELL DONE ISL SCHOOL!!! MY KIDS ARE AT ISL. AND WE AS PARENTS WILL DECIDE WHO REAL ROLE MODELS ARE FOR OUR KIDS”.

Mehrub Moiz Awan’s identity was further explained to the audience, and she made it clear that while she supports the transgender community, he is not a trans person but rather a guy who is transitioning into a woman. Watch what she said, please!

Although some people with various viewpoints may have seen this differently, Maria B. has gained the backing of the majority of Pakistanis. Many claimed that while they had already discreetly blocked Mehrub Moiz Awan, they lacked the courage to speak up like Maria B. They are applauding her for speaking out on the matter.

One Twitter user declared that in response to Maria B’s brave gesture, he would create a fandom for her. Fans claimed that she expressed what Islam teaches and that, with the exception of liberals, she has gained the respect and support of all Pakistanis.

“Maria B is absolutely right. Transgenders are not equal to hermaphrodites. While, people like him (Moiz) are psychos who felt something & changed their genders. This is Haram and punishable in Islam and in Pakistan constitution”.

Another user wrote, “Maria B for once spoke the truth. She wanted to protect her kids from this lgbtq guy. But all the woke liberals and elite lost their minds over it that how someone from their class dare say all that. This woman has my immense respect for this. May Allah bless her”.
