The Batman hits major box office milestone ahead of its HBO streaming debut

The Batman has surpassed three-quarters of a billion dollars at the global box office, maintaining its position as the year’s highest-grossing film worldwide and domestically.

The film, directed by Matt Reeves, has grossed $751.1 million globally as of Sunday, with $386.1 million in international box office and $365 million in North American.

The blockbuster will premiere on HBO Max tomorrow (April 18) and will also air on HBO at 8 p.m. ET on Saturday, April 23.

Jeff Goldstein, WB’s President of Domestic Distribution, commented of the $750 million milestone, “The incredible response we’ve seen at theaters across the country is a testament to both the enduring power of this iconic DC Super Hero and the huge appetite out there to experience great movies on the big screen. We congratulate everyone involved on reaching this impressive milestone.”

Added Andrew Cripps, President of International Distribution, “The Batman performs on every level, delivering critical praise and big crowds in every market around the globe. We’re so proud of the film and so happy it continues to strike a chord with audiences everywhere.”

Zoe Kravitz, Jeffrey Wright, Andy Serkis, Colin Farrell, John Turturro, and Paul Dano co-star alongside Pattinson. Reeves directed the film, which was based on a script by Reeves and Peter Craig. The film was produced by Dylan Clark and Reeves, with executive producers Michael E. Uslan, Walter Hamada, Chantal Nong Vo, and Simon Emanuel.
