The federal government of Pakistan has taken action by blocking 219 websites following recommendations from various law enforcement and government agencies.

The blocked sites were flagged for containing either pornographic, blasphemous, or anti-state content. The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) executed the blocks based on suggestions from entities like the ISI, FIA, CTD Punjab, SECP, SBP, BISP, Ministry of Religious Affairs, NADRA, and telecom companies such as PTML Ufone, Jazz, Fauji, and Foundation.

The PTA also acted on recommendations from the central bank and FIA to block e-currency platforms and explicit websites. Additionally, SECP suggested blocking loan lending websites, while ISI recommended blocking malicious websites. The PTA also addressed public concerns by blocking certain websites based on public applications.
