LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Friday ordered to reseal the factories taking action against the officers responsible for de-sealing the factories, Bol News reported.

The high court ordered to seal cafes that remain open after 10 pm and take action against commercial companies. The policy of working from home for two days should be implemented for the staff of private offices, the court directed.

“Instead of making a joke, the government kept the offices of the court closed on Saturday. Instead of wasting public money on visits, meetings should be held on Zoom,” the court directed.

It said smog was caused by construction and the government was not stopping it. The government was further expanding the construction, the court said.

If we can see the kilns emitting smoke, why not the officials of the environment department, the court noticed. He said vehicle smoke was the biggest cause of smog.

The court adjourned the hearing of the case till December 4. Justice Shahid Karim conducted the hearing.
