The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Tuesday arrested eight involved in hawala-hundi and illegal currency exchange associated with an international gang from Gujranwala.
During the operation in Model Town, the authorities recovered a substantial amount of 6o million Pakistani Rupees and a significant quantity of foreign currency from the possession of the arrested individuals.
The seized items included mobile phones, laptops, computers, cash lockers, ledger books, and cheque books.
Additionally, five vehicles and a motorcycle, allegedly used for the distribution of money, were taken into custody.
FIA spokesperson stated that a case has been registered against the accused, and investigations are underway.
