Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa chaired Corps Commanders Conference today (Aug 11) at GHQ.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) COAS General Qamar Bajwa chaired the Corps Commanders Conference on Tuesday and discussed the regional security situation.

The sources said that the forum reviewed situation at LOC, Pak-Afghan border and internal security environment.
Forum appreciated the progress of Afghan Reconciliation Process and hoped for early commencement of intra Afghan dialogue, the statement added.
According to the details, COAS expressed satisfaction on operational preparedness of formations and appreciated efforts in aid of civil administration to contain coronavirus pandemic and Locust threat.

The ISPR also said, COAS directed commanders to ensure necessary measures for public safety and security during upcoming Muharram in concert with civil administration, with due cognizance to coronavirus guidelines and protocols.
