Amidst ongoing clashes along the Israel-Lebanon border, a UN peacekeeper was reported shot. The well-armed Hezbollah, based in southern Lebanon, allegedly fired anti-tank missiles on Sunday, hitting civilian targets.
In response, the Israel Defense Forces retaliated with artillery fire. An Israeli ambulance service spokesperson confirmed one person critically wounded and three to five others injured.
Video footage depicted cars ablaze near an open area.
Hezbollah’s leader, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, declared on Saturday their intent to persist in fighting Israel near the border.
