A select group of beta users on WhatsApp is currently being prompted to verify their accounts with their personal email addresses. This appears to be a limited introduction of the feature, as only a small number of beta users have reported encountering it.

Initial reports indicated that WhatsApp has been developing an email verification system since August. This new verification method is intended to enhance the security of user accounts, making it more challenging for unauthorized access and hacking.
