Samsung plans to launch its Galaxy S24 smartphones in January 2024, possibly on January 17, with availability for purchase around February 2.
This timing aims to compete with Apple’s iPhone 15 series and increase semiconductor sales.
By choosing January, Samsung avoids clashing with CES earlier in the month and avoids competing with other brands during the busy Christmas season.
It’s important to note that Samsung is expected to keep using Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset in most of its devices, including the Galaxy S24 Ultra.
This decision is likely because the chipset’s AI capabilities are important for the phone’s advanced camera features, ensuring a consistent user experience in different markets.
