Mahira Khan, Osman Khalid Butt and others Mourn Matthew Perry’s Death

Matthew Perry, the humorous co-star of the 1990s blockbuster TV sitcom “Friends,” passed just a day after his lifeless corpse was found in a hot tub at his Los Angeles home.

Other celebs have joined in mourning his loss. Even South Asian celebrities have been saddened by the widespread expression of sadness for the adored comedy actor since word of his demise spread.

Actor Osman Khalid Butt said on X. “Chandler became my whole personality for a while there (and I suspect it was the same for so many). I owe that character and Matthew Perry’s pitch-perfect performance so much. You were there for me, Perry. Rest in peace.”

“Goodbye, Chandler Bing. Matthew Perry, 1969-2023,” was the caption on an image provided by Ahmad Ali Butt. “Farewell, our friend!” is how Sarwat Gilani ended a video she posted wishing the celebrity farewell.

With a laughing Chandler illustration, Mirza Gohar Rasheed paid his respects on Instagram Story, stating, “Rest in peace, friend.” Perry once said, “There’s nothing better than a world where everybody’s just trying to make each other laugh,” Mahira Khan shared this comment with us. “Thank you for the innumerable laughs,” she continued.

Perry’s death was reported late on a Saturday. He was found unconscious in a jacuzzi at his Los Angeles home and was declared deceased at the scene. The exact cause of death will be determined by medical examiners, but no foul play is suspected. NBC and Warner Bros Television Group also confirmed his passing.
