The mystery around the killing of Maulana Tariq Jameel’s son ‘Asim Jamil’ could not have been unfold as the police is still clueless about causes of the tragic incident.
Asim is being said having been murdered but the Maulana’s nephew has claimed that Asim shot himself dead (in other words, he has committed suicide).
Who has killed him or why he has committed suicide, which is considered one of biggest sin in the religion of Islam and is termed as an ‘illegitimate death’, could not be commented.
As he was son of a knowledgeable religious scholar, apparently he could not have been expected to do so.
The incident took place in Tulamba Tehsil of Khanewal district of Punjab.
DPO Khanewal Rana Umar Farooq Salamat confirmed that Asim Jamil was shot dead, saying he got a bullet in his chest.
“Nephew of Tariq Jamil has claimed that Asim Jameel shot himself,” Salamat added.
Meanwhile, police have also initiated an investigation of the incident, he added.
The news of Maulana Tariq Jameel’s son murder spread s like fire of jungle across the country and all electronic media broke the news at once and covered the sad story in their main bulletins.
Initially, it was reported that Asim Jamil was shot dead by unknown persons on Sunday.
The police said that they were probing into the incident and seeing the reasons behind the killing.
They said that Asim Jamil’s body was shifted to Tulamba Hospital.
On the other hand, Maulana Tariq Jamil took to X (formerly Twitter) to confirm the demise of his son.

“My son Asim Jamil passed away today in Tulamba. This accidental death has made the atmosphere mournful,” he wrote.
