The number of positive coronavirus cases in Pakistan has climbed to 278,305 on Friday after 906 new infections were reported in the country over the last 24 hours.
According to the national dashboard there are:
2,073 cases in AJK,
11,732 in Balochistan,
2,105 in GB,
15,014 in Islamabad,
33,958 in KP,
92,873 in Punjab and 120,550 in Sindh.
The country also reported 27 fatalities taking the death toll to 5,951.
Pakistan has so far conducted 1,973,237 coronavirus tests and 20,507 in last 24 hours.
247,177 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 1,146 patients are in critical condition.
PM urges to strictly follow SOPs
Prime Minister Imran Khan has urged the people to strictly follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) on Eid-ul-Azha to contain the spread of coronavirus.
According to the details, in his message the prime minister said sacrifice of needless visits to loved-ones will ensure safe and blessed Eid for everyone.
The Prime Minister said Eid-ul-Azha is all about sacrifice and through our adherence to SOPs, we can be savior of humanity.
He urged the people to go outside on Eid when it is necessary and needed.
