Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar arrived at Karachi’s Abbasi Shaheed Hospital along with Mayor Wasim Akhtar to inspect COVID-19 facilities here on Saturday.
Asad Umar visited the coronavirus ward and examined treatment quality. Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) medical and health services senior director Dr Birbal Genani and Wasim Akhtar gave briefing to the federal minister.
Asad Umar talked to media and said the government is working to improve the provision of oxygen and other facilities. The federation will provide full support to counter the pandemic, he assured.
On the other hand, doctors encircled Asad Umar outside the hospital over non-issuance of salaries and health risk allowance.
