According to details, the ongoing smart lockdown in Muzaffarabad, the capital of Azad Kashmir, has been extended for another week in view of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The district administration says there will be a complete lockdown two days a week, Tuesday and Friday.
It may be recalled that for the prevention of Coron virus, a complete lockdown has been carried out in the state including the capital Muzaffarabad, after which the public has been prevented from traveling unnecessarily due to complete lockdown.
The closure of business centers in Azad Kashmir has severely affected daily life.
It may be recalled that Central Association of Traders Azad Kashmir and Traders Joint Committee Muzaffarabad has rejected the government lockdown and said that they will continue business with the government under the previous formula.
Earlier on Wednesday, Pakistan reported 2,165 coronavirus cases and 67 deaths over the past 24 hours, taking the national tally of cases to 253,601 and fatalities to 5,386.
